Training

The technology shift and advancement requires us to constantly adapt and hone our skills so that designs and configurations are current and relative.

Training channels are a combination of on-line study and classroom attendance. Training is provided by manufacturers and trade organisations such as infoComm.

Complex AV is a member of AVIXA.

AVIXA is the trade association representing the professional audiovisual and information communications industries worldwide.

Our principal designer holds the AVIXA certification Certified Technology Specialist - Design (CTS-D).

Consulting

System Design

CAD

At the start of a project we meet with the client to establish and document the need.

This service will include creating a functionality and performance specification on which the detailed design will be based.

Calculating an estimated budget is also included in this service.

The detailed design selects the components and elements required to be integrated as a complete system.

The infrastructure for the room space is also considered with regard to architectural features, containment and furniture.

The design will determine viewing and audio specifications.

We use the latest version of AutoCAD to prepare our concept, infrastructure and schematic drawings.

Our detailing is to a high standard and the drawings are used by all professions and trades in the project as well as the integration team.

Our work is done in accordance with ISO and infoComm drawing standards.

Control Programming

Digital Sound Processing (DSP)

System Commissioning

Control programmes are created to turn a complex audio visual system into an easy to use experience.

We program for AMX, Crestron and Savant audio visual systems. The custom functionality appropriate for the room is prepared in conjunction with the client.

Control of the environment often forms part of the entire room experience.

Digital sound is part of every contemporary audio visual system. This applies to both presentation and conference systems.

We configure various professional DSP components for both audio performance and control of the audio functionality.

We have experience with ClearOne, Biamp, SoundStructure and SoundWeb.

System commissioning is done once the system is installed. This process is to configure and test the system to ensure that it performs and functions within the design brief.

This task requires senior technical skill.

System commissioning must be completed before the system can be handed over to the client for use.

Graphic User Interface (GUI)

Training

Technical Writing

The graphic user interface on a touch panel, computer or tablet for system control is a very important aspect of the system.

The insinuative design of the GUI will ensure that the system is easy to use for the end users.

We incorporate contemporary and corporate styles in our GUI designs.

It is important that end users and support staff understand the extent and limitations to get the most out of a presentation and / or conference system.

We provide training in the use of new systems or 'refresh' instruction required because of staff changes.

Training is adapted to accommodate the skill level of the group.

Once a system is completed we produce user guides for the correct operation of the system.

The user guides vary from a single page for simple systems to detailed documents for more complicated rooms.

The user guides are easy to understand instructions on how to prepare or run a presentation or conference.
